.
I think I am perfectly eligible to answer this question..
10th - 68 percent . Studied in government schools through out solely in Hindi medium.
12th - 62 percent with PCM. Studied in a government college where only time you need to be present is during examinations.
Graduation - Two parts :
1. Aircraft maintenance engineering, a license course of three years. Did this, firstly because couldn't get through any prestigious entrance examination, secondly because I thought, this course being of three years duration would enable me to earn much earlier. At the end was left with no degree, no job, no money.
2. Mechanical Engineering - The institution of engineers India, offers a non formal (via distance mode) course “AMIE” where you can convert your three years regular non degree course to B. E. by taking additional credits. Completed it in minimum possible time. I had a degree and I was eligible to appear in competitive examinations. Alongside took home tuitions/ taught at coachings to support myself.
You see, I am not from any of the IITs/IIMs. I have not done anything extra ordinary academically. But I had a dream. It flourished very late but when it did, I tried everything, I worked hard to achieve it.
Verdict:
AIR 346 in CSE 2018. Also cleared Bank PO exam, SSC CGL Exam and many other government job exams.
I fall well below even the average norms going by my educational achievements at college and school levels. But I was never devoid of dreams, desires, hard working ability and perseverance. Perhaps these are the qualities that matter most in life.
Average is a myth. Dream big. Hone your skills. Work hard. You are bound to achieve greater heights…..
……..IN UPSC…IN LIFE.
