A chosen ciphertext attack (CCA) is a type of cryptographic attack where the attacker can choose arbitrary ciphertexts and obtain their corresponding plaintexts. The goal is to exploit this capability to gain information about the decryption process or the encryption key, eventually allowing the attacker to decrypt other ciphertexts or break the encryption scheme.
