What is RAID structure in OS? What are the different levels of RAID configuration?
RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) is a technology used to combine multiple hard drives into a single unit to improve data storage performance, reliability, or both. There are different RAID levels with varying configurations:
- RAID 0: Striping without redundancy.
- RAID 1: Mirroring for data redundancy.
- RAID 5: Striping with distributed parity.
- RAID 10 (1+0): Combines mirroring and striping.
