**LAN (Local Area Network):**

1. **Coverage Area:** Typically covers a small geographic area, such as a single building or campus.

2. **Speed:** Offers high data transfer rates, usually ranging from 100 Mbps to 10 Gbps.

3. **Ownership:** Often owned and managed by a single organization or individual.

4. **Latency:** Generally has low latency due to its small coverage area and high-speed connections.

**MAN (Metropolitan Area Network):**

1. **Coverage Area:** Covers a larger geographic area than a LAN, such as a city or large campus.

2. **Speed:** Offers moderate data transfer rates, generally between 1 Mbps and 1 Gbps.

3. **Ownership:** Can be owned by a single organization or by multiple organizations with shared resources.

4. **Latency:** Has moderate latency, higher than LAN but lower than WAN, due to its broader coverage area.

**WAN (Wide Area Network):**

1. **Coverage Area:** Covers extensive geographic areas, such as multiple cities, countries, or even continents.

2. **Speed:** Offers variable data transfer rates, often lower than LAN and MAN, due to long-distance communication.

3. **Ownership:** Typically involves multiple organizations or service providers; often relies on leased lines and public infrastructure.

4. **Latency:** Generally has higher latency due to the long distances data must travel and the complexity of the network.
